HOW CONTACTLESS LIGHT THERAPY WORKS

AT YOUR RESERVATION

Check-In
Pre-pay and book your session to access the studio. Simply check in via the GymMaster app and head to your Light Therapy room.

  • STEP 01

    Remove any large jewellery from the face or neck area.

  • STEP 02 - CLEANSE

    Double cleanse the skin with the supplied cleanser, ensuring all traces of makeup and product residue are removed, as these can inhibit light absorption. It is not necessary to remove eye makeup.

  • STEP 03 - CORRECT

    Apply the cream to the entire treatment area to create a uniform skin surface for optimal light absorption, while also providing additional skin conditioning benefits.

  • STEP 04 - PREPARE

    Fit the eye goggles to protect the pupils from direct illumination. For added comfort, you may close your eyes.

  • STEP 05 - POSITION

    Position the LED treatment head over the treatment area, ensuring the LED panels are no more than 25mm from the direct treatment area

  • STEP 06 - ACTIVATE

    Select the desired treatment program from the system menu. Press the START button to activate the program.

  • STEP 07 - ASSESS

    After the Dermalux treatment, remove the goggles. Your skin may appear slightly flushed immediately afterward due to the activation process. This is normal and temporary.

  • STEP 08 - MOISTURISE AND PROTECT

    Apply moisturizer to the skin. An SPF product is recommended during daylight hours. Makeup can be applied immediately after the treatment if desired.

PREPARATION

Who is light therapy suited for?

Red, Blue and Yellow LED Light therapy is suitable for all skin types, colours and conditions. It complements the skin’s own natural ability to produce collagen and elastic, rejuvenate and stimulate wound healing.

Who is light therapy NOT suited for?

This treatment is not suited to anyone suffering from chronic migraines or sensitivity to bright light.

Will it still work if I leave my makeup on?

Yes, the red, blue and yellow light will still penetrate through your skin. To experience best results we recommend cleansing your skin prior to your session.

What do I need to bring?

You will find everything you need for your session in our light room. If you prefer to listen to music or a meditation during your session we recommend packing your head phones too.

How many light lounge sessions will I need?

For best results all year round, we love incorporating Light Therapy 1-2 times into our weekly routine. However, if you are prepping your skin for a special occasion recommended 2-3 sessions per week for a course of 4-6 weeks. A session only takes 20 minutes.

AFTERCARE

What should I do after my light therapy session?

After your session, keep your skin clean and hydrated. Use gentle skincare products and avoid harsh exfoliants for at least 24 hours.

Can I wear makeup after treatment?

Yes, but it’s best to let your skin breathe post-treatment. If needed, use minimal, non-comedogenic makeup to maintain your results.

Is there anything I should avoid after light therapy?

Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and high-heat activities (like saunas or intense workouts) for the next 24 hours.

How can I enhance my results?

Consistency is key. For optimal results, follow your recommended treatment plan and pair sessions with a simple, nourishing skincare routine.
